Man Utd plans cinema of dreams: Manchester United set to open Red Cinema in Salford Quay's Trafford Centre

Article Abstract:

Manchester United planned to launch the first Red Cinema in association with the Village Cinemas International (VCI) within the Lowry Designer Outlet shopping centre in Salford. The Cinema aims to build Manchester Unite brand and heritage by providing entertainment experience with rewards like retail deals on film tickets, concessions and merchandise, invitations to premieres and others.

Warner Village UK sold to SBC

Article Abstract:

SBC International Cinemas has acquired the Warner Village Cinema chain in the UK and this acquisition would boost its number of multiplex cinemas from 6 to 42 with a total of 383 screens. The deal involves the creation of a new company, called Vue and the new circuit would be completely rebranded as Vue by December 2003.

Vue launches DVD rental
