Inner city sport

Article Abstract:

The sporting concept Agoraspace has been introduced to provide an informal meeting place and sports facility for inner-city children. A synthetic pitch, available in three sizes can accommodate a variety of sports. Developers have forestalled vandalism by inviting young people to help complete the installation. The concept has attracted attention from private leisure facilities despite the original intention of diverting inner-city young people. Set-up costs vary from 35,000 - 55,000 pounds sterling.
