Article Abstract:

The Parnell Centre, a leisure and entertainment complex, has recently been opened by The Sheridan Group in Dublin, Ireland. The concern now plans to expand its presence to the UK over the next 12 months, according to chairman Peter Curistan. He has an accountancy background, but moved into the leisure industry when he realised that it has great growth potential. He is now seeking partnership deals with UK companies to allow it to enter major UK cities.

Manchester gets the Games

Article Abstract:

The city of Manchester claims that it was such a strong bidder to host the 2002 Commonwealth Games that other potential bidders withdrew. It was the only city to submit a bid by the deadline, so now seems almst certain to be selected. It will now have to undertake a lot of work, but the foundations exist already for a very successful event. There is considerable political interest, and the bid team is very experienced.

Bidding race begins to host Olympic Games

Article Abstract:

The LondonEs 2012 bid was launched to host the 2012 Olympic Games. The chairman of London's bid Barbara Cassani has stated that London's landmarks would also be utilized for some of the events and this decision was welcomed by the tourism organization.
