Security alert

Article Abstract:

Leisure centres should make adequate safety provision against vandalism, fire and theft. Security systems should protect staff, equipment and premises and detect intruders. Security locks and closed circuit cameras will deter intruders. Alarms linked to a central monitoring station will detect fire and forceable entry. Electronic access also improves security. Fire-proof cabinets are advisable for record protection. Glass screens will protect receptionists.
