Bang on target

Article Abstract:

The Japanese stockmarket dropped on January 10, 1997, despite the finance minister's assurances that the economy was strong. Japan needs to reform its stock market and bring in a greater element of competition if it is to avoid a crash. Wall Street, and the other world markets, are affected by the Japanese markets and are in danger of crashing along with it.
