Water world: waterparks are reaching new heights in popularity

Article Abstract:

There was an increase of over 6 million visitors to waterparks in 1995 and there are many new parks being developed in such places as Korea, Brazil, China and Thailand, along with the Near, Middle and Far East. Waterparks are viewed as an element in a complex which could include resort hotels, retail centres, residential developments and cinemas. Some believe that future cities will be planned to incorporate such attractions alongside other familiar institutions.
