Taking the Missouri waters: visit the town of Excelsior Springs and glimpse the glamour of bygone days

Article Abstract:

Excelsior Springs, Missouri, is 30 miles northeast of Kansas City and was once a thriving spa resort. The Hall of Waters was built in 1937, and features mineral baths, massages, salt rubs and other spa amenities. The resort has art deco styling and is being refurbished.

Are they worth the trip?

A poll of Conde Nast Traveler readers finds that most visitors to the United Kingdom do visit Buckingham Palace or other palaces of the British royalty but 3/4 of those polled say their decision to visit England had nothing to do with the English monarchy.
