An online forum as a qualitative research method

Article Abstract:

An analysis was conducted to find the practical difficulties faced in implementing an online forum as a qualitative component for data collection for a larger study on cancer pain experience. The research revealed two issues, high response and retention rate and automatic transcript related to credibility, participant's forgetfulness to dependability, difficulties in theoretical saturation and unstandardized computer and internet jargon to confirmability and hacking attempts to security issues which suggest several implications for future researchers.

Article Abstract:

Short films are given more importance in Europe and the Pacific rim than in US, where they are only relegated to film festivals, art museums and late night TV. Even HBO has lost interest in using the short films as fillers.
