A haplotype map of the human genome

Article Abstract:

A public database of common variation in the human genome with more than one million single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) for which accurate and complete genotypes are obtained in 269 DNA samples from four populations. The HapMap resource can guide the design and analysis of genetic association studies, highlight on structural variation and recombination and identify the loci that might subject to natural selection during human evolution.

Meet exhibit I

Article Abstract:

The article focuses on the various achievements, ideas and discoveries of George Church, the well-known information exhibitionist. Despite of several failed ideas, he has mainly contributed to the production of biofuels and the development of the personal-genome sequencing devices.
