A matter of time

Article Abstract:

An overview is presented on Australia's continuing research in prehistoric anthropology, specifically regarding the issue of when humans first arrived on the continent. Topics include the redating of the Mungo 3 skeleton found at Lake Mungo in New South Wales; found in 1974, the skeleton was believed to be around 30,000 years old, but geomorphological data taken from around the skeleton imply it could be as much as 68,000 years old.
