Oxygen and the inflammatory cell

Article Abstract:

Immunologists report the discovery that a single protein causes immune cells to respond to low oxygen levels and switch on the process of inflammation, proving that a relationship exists between hypoxia and inflammation. The article concludes that this research may provide new directions for anti-inflammatory drug development.
