Association of NOD2 leucine-rich repeat variants with susceptibility to Crohn's disease

Article Abstract:

Research examining the mapping of susceptibility loci for Crohn's disease is presented. Particular attention is given to the use of positional cloning techniques to identify independent associations for the disease, including variants of the NOD2.

A frameshift mutation in NOD2 associated with susceptibility to Crohn's disease

Article Abstract:

Research examining ways in which a frameshift mutation of the NOD2 can be associated with Crohn's disease is presented. Particular attention is given to the use of case control analysis and the transmission disequilibrium test to perform a cytosine insertion.

Mapping of a susceptibility locus for Crohn's disease on chromosome 16

Article Abstract:

A putative susceptibility Crohn's disease susceptibility locus was identified on chromosome 16 using a non-parametric two-point sibling-pair linkage method. The susceptibility locus was named UBD1, for inflammatory bowel disease locus. A genome-wide search was previously conducted on two consecutive and independent panels of families with multiple affected members.
