Lead-free at last

Article Abstract:

The environmental concerns over the lead content in the most successful piezoelectric ceramics, which are based on, lead zirconate and lead titanate could disappear with the advent of a new lead-free ceramic. Lead-free piezoceramics are created with properties that closely match the compositions of lead zirconate titanate, the 'PZT' family of ceramics.
