Article Abstract:

The first measurement of antineutrinos produced by radioactive beta-decay at the center of the Earth and a new way of determining where the unstable isotopes, the radionuclides, are stored inside the Earth is reported. Neutrinos and antineutrinos are particles that have no charge and almost no mass and pass through most matter without interacting with it at all.
