Honkin hoatzins

Article Abstract:

Hoatzins (wat-sons) are bizarre-looking birds with their red eyes, bright blue faces, and spiky bed-head hairdos. They live in family groups of two to eight members and aggressively defend their territories by hissing and screeching at intruders.

The animals and the birds, which dangle upside down by tails or toes or suction cup, are described. Some of the animals and birds of this category such as the Kinkajou, woodpeckers, and pangolin are listed and described in detail.

The dance rituals of several wild creatures are discussed. Among them are red-crowned cranes in Japan, Panamint rattlesnakes in California, and young orangutans in Borneo.
