MicroRNA silencing through RISC recruitment of elF6

Article Abstract:

The study results related to the human RISC (RNA-induced silencing complex) associates with a multiprotein complex containing MOV10 which uncovers an evolutionarily conserved function of the ribosome anti-association factor elF6 in miRNA-mediated post-transcriptional silencing is presented.

CRD-BP mediates stabilization of [beta]TrCP1 and c-myc mRNA in response to [beta]-catenin signalling

Article Abstract:

CRD-BP mediates stabilization of [beta]TrCP1 and c-myc mRNA in response to [beta]-catenin signaling. CRD-BP induction in the upregulation of [beta]TrCP1, in the activation of dimeric transcription factor and in the suppression of apoptosis is implicated in the suppression of cancers.

The microprocessor complex mediates the genesis of microRNAs

Article Abstract:

It is shown that human Drosha is a component of two multi-protein complexes. The larger complex contains multiple classes of RNA-associated proteins including RNA helicases, and the smaller complex is composed of Drosha and the double-stranded-RNA-binding protein, DGCR8.
