Microquasars in our Galaxy

Article Abstract:

The discovery of microquasars in our own Galaxy has created new directions for research into the astrophysics of black holes. It is thought that these microquasars are powered by spinning black holes and that they have masses of up to a few tens times that of the Sun. The repeated identification of two-sided moving jets in microquasars has promoted much wider acceptance of the concept that the emission from quasar jets is linked with material moving as speeds close to that of light. Microquasars offer the potential to have a general understanding of the relativistic jets seen in other parts of the Universe.

I am working on plasma composition about SS433. I try to see how this could help to elucidate the jet formation and this article could help me to corroborate my theory.

Electron-positron jets associated with the quasar 3C279

Article Abstract:

The composition of the relativistic jets of plasma streaming from the nuclei of quasars and active galaxies is a long-standing question, whether they comprise normal electron-proton plasma or a pair electron-positron plasma. circularly polarized radio emission was detected from the jets of the archetypal quasar 3C279, where circular polarization was produced by Faraday conversion, suggesting that electron-positron pairs are important in jet plasma.
