Saline solutions?

Article Abstract:

Salt tolerant plants called Halophyte might lose water through their roots and wilt when exposed to high salinity as saline soil has such low water pressure that water flows from the plants back into the soil. There are some plants that survive by blocking uptake of salt by their roots, and most of them absorb the salt and excrete it through leaf glands, or store it internally.

Creeping and climbing

Article Abstract:

Bower Vines or Pandorea jasminoides are plants with elongated stems that either creep along the ground, or climb upwards by gripping other plants, sometimes developing a woody stem and becoming 'lianas'. This is a rigorous rainforest vine that has become popular in gardens for its attractive flowers and for its value in blanketing unsightly structures.

Flowers from wood

Article Abstract:

The article lists and describes a variety of cauliflorus trees found in Australia. These include species in the Syzygium, Hicksbeachia, and Ficus families. Theories as to why the fruits and flowers of these species bloom directly from the wood of the trees are discussed, such as improving pollination opportunities.
