Telemiroscopy via the Internet

Article Abstract:

Java technology will increase the functionality of the Internet, and is used mainly to create visual animated and interactive Web pages. It has now been used to control a remote telemicroscope system, comprising a microscope-server and telemicroscopy clients. Users can move the microscope stage, alter the magnification and execute other microscope operations, by operating related buttons on a downloaded telemicroscopy client program. The concept could be used in the remote control of any type of scientific device.
