The smoke screen of CAMPFIRE

Article Abstract:

The Communal Areas Management Program for Indigenous Resources (CAMPFIRE), a US-subsidized program promoting trophy hunting, reportedly is mainly serving affluent American trophy hunters rather than the indigent people of Zimbabwe. CAMPFIRE is deceivingly championing itself as a means for poor people to profit by selling wildlife.

Animal welfare organizations have launched a campaign against the National Institutes of Health for committing animal cruelty in their regional primate centers. These organizations include The End Primate Experimentation, Animal Protection Institute, In Defense of Animals and Last Chance for Animals.

The venom over rattlesnake roundups

Article Abstract:

The Humane Society of the United States describes rattlesnake roundups as grossly inhumane concepts that are both destructive to the environment and a hazard to public health. The events, held about 30 times annually, are some of the most graphic instances of cruelty to animals that exist in the US.
