Wildlife photographer accused of staging scenes

Article Abstract:

Wildlife photographer Marty Stouffer is alleged to have staged scenes and mistreated animals while making the popular PBS television program 'Wild America.' Former employees and colleagues claim that he manipulated scenes to be able to shoot animals fighting, attacking or chasing one another.

USDA falls 90% short of the job

Article Abstract:

The Alternative Research and Development Foundation filed a lawsuit against the Dept of Agriculture to force the latter to make birds, mice and rats part of the animals protected by the Animal Welfare Act. This move aims to regulate the use of these animals in laboratories, zoos and circuses.
