Article Abstract:
Academics protest against stagnant salaries, dwindling career prospects and increasing demands made by the employers has led to explosion of frustration in the European universities, emerging into a protest. This explosion is assumed to damage the attractiveness of a scientific career.

Car-safety lobby on collision course with researches

The astronomers worry that collision-avoidance radars for the cars may mess up their observations. They say that car radars which operate at 24-GHz frequency would close down the whole band for the astronomy.
