Article Abstract:
Kurt Thomas Lucker, Curator of Ancient Art and Curator of Special Exhibitions at the Toledo Museum of Art, died of heart attack on Nov. 3, 1995, at age 49. Born on Dec. 29, 1945, he had displayed an aptitude for art and music at an early age. He graduated from Georgetown University in 1967 and obtained an M.A. in art history from Stanford University in 1969, where he began his career as a curator immediately after graduation. He also worked as a guest curator for other museums during his service at the Toledo Museum of Art. He is married to Kleia, whom he has two children.

Ultrasuede, which was popular in the 1970s, is making a comeback with trendy New York designers. Newer versions of the fabric are not as stiff, and it does not fray, crack or water-spot. The material can also look both casual and elegant, yet practical enough for daily wear.

Electrochemical DNA sensors
Article Abstract:
The detection of selected DNA sequences associated with human disease can be done at low cost with electrochemistry-based sensors. Such sensors combine nucleic acid layers with electrochemical transducers to produce a biosensor and provide a platform for patient diagnosis.
