The romance of ruins

An exhibition called 'The Splendor of Ruins in French Landscape Painting 1630-1800', that evokes the allure the ruins had for painters, their patrons, and the public, is planned to be held on 17 July 2005 at the Houston Museum of Fine Art. The exhibition includes the collections of 24 museums across the US and Canada.
