The Barker Review, which itself was extremely light on design and architecture, was jointly commissioned by the Treasury and the ODPM. In addition, the ODPM and DERA revealed the draft details of a Sustainable Code for Housing, which they seem determined to rush in for all new social and housing association homes by April 2006.

One of the members of the Archigram group, Peter Cook has insisted that the group's archive to be put on sale in the foreign land. The academician and writer felt that their works receive better recognition abroad than in England.
