Senators' stock picks bring profit, scrutiny
Article Abstract:
A study conducted reveals that the US Senators made high profits from stocks during the 1990s bull market. The members of the Senate have access to business information that ordinary investors cannot get and the economic returns earned by them are abnormally large and are greater than those corporate inside-traders typically collect using illegally obtained information.

Fed signals that days of low rates are numbered
Article Abstract:
The central bank of America, Federal Reserve left the federal funds rate, the interest that commercial banks charge each other, at a 40-year low of 1 percent for the year 2003. The Fed funds benchmark would likely rise to 1.5 percent by December 2004, and 3 percent by the end of 2005.
