'Pump-and-dump' stock scam comes calling again
Article Abstract:
The investment scam called 'pump-and-dump', which is false or exaggerated information spread through phone about a little-known company whose stock trades cheaply, perhaps for a few cents or a few dollars, targeted many investors in August 2004. Many people who fall prey buy the shares, pumping up the share prices while the fraudsters dump their shares at a big profit.

Digital TV's immediate effect: Shopping confusion
Article Abstract:
A digital TV turner or a digital-to-analog converter box would be necessary for consumers who rely on over-the-air broadcasts at a likely cost of $50 to $100 for every TV in the house. The Congress is of the opinion that television's digital transition should be delayed in any area where 85 percent of homes are not yet capable of receiving digital signals.
