Boston, MA-based Gillette Co.'s Oral-B Laboratories will unveil a new toothbrush that will have a list price of $4.99. Cross Action cost 50% more than any of the high-end toothbrushes in the market today. Aside the high price, the new toothbrush is designed with uneven bristles that allow the brush to get rid of 25% more plaque that the leading toothbrush in the market. In addition, Cross Action features a rubberized ergonomic handle the size of an adult's thumb. The product will become available in US retail stores in early 1999 and the rest of the world by the end of 1999.
