Monster.com reports surge in area ads

Monster.com is expected to announce that help-wanted postings by Philadelphia-area employers rose 51 percent in August 2004 from August 2003 levels, indicating that the job market in Philadelphia is gaining strength. The hiring appeared strongest in construction, wholesale and retail trade, and financial and real estate.
