Charge transport and recombination in a nanoscale interpenetrating network of n-type and p-type semiconductors: Transient photocurrent and photovoltage studies of TiO2/Dye/CuSCN photovoltaic cells

Article Abstract:

It is shown that charge extraction in TiO2/dye/CuSCN cells is limited by the electron-transport characteristics of the TiO2, with an electron diffusion constant similar to that of equivalent TiO2 electrolyte cells. The recombination rate for a given electron concentration is much faster for the TiO2/CuSCN interface than for the TiO2/(I3(super -)/I(super -) electrolyte) interface.

Energetics and kinetics of interfacial electron-transfer processes at chemically modified InP/liquid junctions

Article Abstract:

The n-type InP/liquid and n-type InP-CH2C6H4CF3/liquid contacts are investigated. Rate constants for interfacial electron-transfer processes with ferrocenium redox couples dissolved in solution are obtained and the observed values were consistent with those measured for other semiconductor/liquid contacts.

Simplified charge separation energetic in a two-dimensional model for polymer-based photovoltaic cells

Article Abstract:

The study extends two-dimensional working model for photovoltaic behavior in binary polymer and/or molecular photoreactive blends. It aims to provide a more-realistic description of the charge generation and charge separation processes in the blend system.
