FRANCE: ABSORPTIONS AT JOHNSON & JOHNSON

The Johnson & Johnson Sas group will absorb the companies Roc, Neutrogena Corporation and Johnson & Johnson Consumer International. Thanks to these acquisitions, its capital will increase by FFr 197.94mn. In addition, Ethicon will absorb its subsidiary Johnson & Johnson Medical.

GERMANY: SANOFI-SYNTHELABO'S RESULTS

Article Abstract:

Sanofi-Synthelabo GmbH made a turnover of DM 400mn in the first half of 1999, up 15% compared with the same period in 1998. Sanofi-Synthelabo, the French pharmaceutical and cosmetic group holds a 2.6% market share in Germany, and says that it ranks 9th in Germany.
