Chemical redox agents for organometallic chemistry
Article Abstract:
Chemical redox reagents are useful for the electron-transfer reactions of organometallic compounds. These reagents provide a high yield of product, use nonpolar solvents and do not require supporting electrolytes. Distinct inorganic and organic compounds are used as oxidants, with cationic species in conjugation with inert counteranions being the most widely used. Inorganic oxidants include complexes of iron, silver, copper; halogen and halides, anionic complexes, neutral compounds, and complex cations. Radical cations, quinones, carbocations, and cyanocarbons act as organic oxidants.

Carbon-carbon bond-forming solid-phase reactions, part II
Article Abstract:
This review discusses a range of polymer-supported carbon-carbon bond-forming reactions employed in solid-phase peptide synthesis in terms of synthetic methodology, development of novel linkers, and technology application to the synthesis of a combinatorial library of compounds. The Diels-Alder reaction and the domino reaction are employed to obtain multiple carbon-carbon bonds.
