Comparative QSAR analysis of 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors
Article Abstract:
A comparative quantitative structure-activity relationship investigation has been undertaken to establish a basis for the design of potent 5-alpha-reductase and adrenal 3-beta-hydroxy-delta5-steroid dehydrogenase/3-keto-delta5-steroid isomerase inhibitors. A number of generalizations are presented, including the fact that four or six azasteroids are appropriate molecules to inhibit all three types of enzymes.
