Modular peptide synthetases involved in nonribosomal peptide synthesis
Article Abstract:
Understanding of the structures and synthesis of bioactive peptides produced via ribosomal and nonribosomal mechanisms has progressed. The nonribosomal peptide synthetic route is now generally accepted as an alternative way of manufacturing highly specialized polypeptides. The functional domains of modular peptide synthetases are described.

The chemistry of 2-aminocycloalkanecarboxylic acids
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the alicyclic beta-amino acids. The synthetic strategies that involve transformations of these acids to heterocycles, peptides or peptidomimetics have been developed and discussed.
