Computer Phobia Slows Personal Computer Communications
Article Abstract:
Microcomputers are expected to appear in approximately seventy million homes and fifty million businesses by the early 1990s. According to a study by International Resource Development Inc., most individuals will react positively to computers. A percentage, particularly older workers, will encounter psychological difficulties or computerphobia. This is attributed to fear of working with computers, fear of failure in the use of computers, and fear of being replaced by a machine. The continued exposure to computers should eliminate this condition.
