Add value to multi-channel marketing
Article Abstract:
A well-planned, value-driven approach to channel management is an effective tool to handle the challenge of optimally using channels to communicate with their customers. Although most firms are already equipped with the data needed as a solution to the channel management puzzle, they still need to unlock the information contained in that data. Firms should also determine customer value to set the channel strategy, consider channel preferences and track and sustain success.

E-mail marketing: a house divided
Article Abstract:
The Council for Responsible E-Mail, a committee of the Assn for Interactive Media, has approved a resolution providing guidelines for ethical and responsible electronic mail marketing. The guidelines call for a common-sense approach to e-mail marketing that respects the rights of consumers while protecting the integrity and viability of the e-mail marketing industry. The concepts of trust, honesty, accountability and consumer control were used to write these rules.

Ad pepper media, a European Internent advertising network, has entered the US market in Aug 2000 when it established sales offices in New York, NY, Miami, FL, San Francisco, CA, and Los Angeles, CA. The 13-country network has 450 Web sites and 500 million impressions and is owned by a group of American, Dutch and German investors. Glenn Klepchick will be the CEO of the US operation and Louis Pereira will be the COO.
