Big bucks small change
Article Abstract:
Construction directors have been accused of paying themselves too much, but their pay increases were well below the percentage increases awarded to many company directors in 1995. An Institute of Management survey found that directors commanded an average 9% raise in total pay. The level of bonus payments linked to company performance is blamed for the gap between construction directors and those in other industries.
