Inspirational architect Ted Hampton has been awarded a Member of the British Empire (MBE) in the New Years honours list to celebrate the new millennium. Hampton played an important part in designing and building the replica Globe Theatre in London. An Order of the British Empire (OBE) has been awarded to Michael Underwood for services to the UK construction industry over a 40 year period.
