Dealer with shuttle plan is booted from big show
Article Abstract:
Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show managers Yacht Promotions Inc and Show Management Inc are locked in a bitter legal dispute with South Florida-based, Bayliner boat model dealer Boatarama. Boatarama's legal counsel claims that the dealer spent $100,000 in preparations for the 1999 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show but was left with only a minimal presence at one of the largest US boat expositions. The dispute apparently stemmed from Boatarama's decision to print-advertise a shuttle service for show goers to its showroom four days before the Fort Lauderdale event opened.
