Falling out over unity
Article Abstract:
The report published by Sir Michael Latham in 1994 about the state of the U.K.'s construction industry was aimed at reforming the industry and making it more responsible. However, many sectors of the construction industry are still at loggerheads and support for the report's proposed policies is fragmented. According to Sir Michael Latham, his proposals can succeed only if they are accepted as a whole. The future of the industry depends upon the acceptance of single responsibility and the development of self-regulated systems that will allow the delivery of high quality products.
