Financial institutions lag behind other firms in harnessing net
Article Abstract:
Traditional financial institutions will try to catch up with online financial services providers by taking advantage of their large customer bases and using more-targeted marketing approaches, according to a study conducted by Internet research firm CyberDialogue of New York. Almost one-third of people who use the Internet to get financial services turn to online brands such as Yahoo Finance, Quicken.com and AOL Personal Finance. Banks and other traditional financial institutions have been left behind as they were not first able to appreciate the value of the medium in forming valuable customer relationships.
