Innovations change sound promotions
Article Abstract:
The emergence of digital one-time programming (OTP) has reduced the costs of rerecordable modules used with sound-based direct-mail pieces. Direct marketers can now enjoy high-quality custom sound and quick turnaround because the sound can be stored and recorded digitally. The OTP technology can be recorded in large or small quantities resulting in customized sound in a matter of days. The use of digital technology does away with the sound limitation of the OTP modules, making the final sound as close as possible to the original.

Loyalty programs must have flexibility
Article Abstract:
Flexibility is the most important factor for the success of future loyalty marketing programs. This requires the ability to combine traditional incentive models with those that use the Internet. Marketers should also not forget that the success of these program would still be determined by the original standards. This means rewards must have value to consumers, and could be easily earned and claimed. Marketers should also promise consumers that personal information collected from them will not be abused.
