Ove board

Article Abstract:

It is important that structures reflect how they work, according to Faith Wainwright, the newest director at Ove Arup & Partners. She has been inspired by Felix Candela's experimental concrete shell structures, regarding them as adventurous and pure. She is particularly proud of her work on Duxford American Air Museum. She believes that structural engineers should seek to establish more direct communication with people who use their buildings.
