Wimpey backs 2000 Homes bid
Article Abstract:
The RIBA's 2000 Homes initiative, which would mark the millennium by building 2,000 homes around the UK to market-test design and technology developments in housebuilding, has received support from Wimpey. Developers are now being asked to put forward plans which demonstrate innovation in areas such as security against crime, flexibility and choice in design and use of energy. The scheme will now seek support from the Millennium Commission.
