US Watercraft will build the J/22
Article Abstract:
J Boats has chosen US Watercraft to build International J/22 boats for the US market. The selection of US Watercraft can only be described as logical since it also builds International J/24 boats. J Boats Pres Jeff Johnstone said J/22 class racing is booming and many sailing programs want to use the J/22 as a training boat. TPI Composites used to build the J/22s from 1983 to 1998 but is now concentrating on its successful SCRIMP molding process. TPI has transferred the hull molds for the J/22s to US Watercraft and will also provide technical assistance during the transition.
