Article Abstract:
Amazon recording studios is a converted industrial building in Liverpool, England. The conversion was designed by novice architects, Michael Cunningham and Michael Giblin who work in an unconventional way but enjoy the confidence of Amazon's owner, Jeremy Lewis. The architects use the minimum of drawings, perfering to treat the building like a full scale model and plan features on site. There was no formal contract and the workforce was organised by the client. The studios are finished to a high quality and the building also houses accomodation, a restaurant and offices.
