Graeme K. Mather: 1934-1997
Article Abstract:
Meteorologist Graeme K. Mather died on Aug 15, 1997 in Vancouver, British Columbia after practising much of his career in South Africa, his adopted home. His life's work in weather modification was triggered by his stay in South Africa where he founded a country which was experiencing water shortage. Thus, he focused on artificially modifying convective precipitation which became one of the longest research projects in weather modification throughout the world.
