Clement J. Todd: 1921-1998
Article Abstract:
Meteorologist Clement J. Todd was born in 1921. He started his training and career in meteorology at the California Institute of Technology (Cal Tech). He served as a project director in cloud seeding for the Weather Modification Co from 1954 to 1955 after receiving a master's degree from Cal Tech in 1952. Todd also became president of the Los Angeles, CA, chapter of the AMS and the Weather Modification Assn from 1961 to 1963. He is survived by his wife, three sons and two grandchildren.

Dennis Deavon: 1937-1996
Article Abstract:
Meteorologist Dennis Deavon was born on Nov 24, 1937 in Hummelstown, PA. He received a B.S. degree in meteorology at the Pennsylvania State University in 1968 and a Ph.D in 1974. Deavon started his career as an electronic technician from 1957 to 1963 before working as a programmer for John Dutton. He studied the effects of aerosols in the atmosphere during his stay at the National Center for Atmospheric Research using isentropic modeling skills. He died on Sep 1, 1996.
