Wherefore and whither the naturalist?
Article Abstract:
Naturalists should contribute their knowledge and expertise to the preservation of biological diversity. The dichotomy between 'naturalists' and 'scientists' should also be eradicated because it restrains the expansion of biological knowledge. Educators are also encouraged to serve as models in the study, understanding and integration of various biological sciences such as physiology, ecology, entomology and developmental biology.
