Digital and film click at PMA 2000
Article Abstract:
The year 2000 convention of the Photo Marketing Assn at the las Vegas Convention Center, while expected to focus on film cameras, will also highlight some of the latest in digital cameras. Among the digital cameras expected to be featured are the Clik drive version of Agfa's CL30, Panasonic's PalmCam SuperDisk, Sony's MD Discam DCM-M1 and the Olympus C- 2020. Also expected to be shown is Fujifilm's Super CCD still camera.

Digital cameras that serve every niche in the digital photography market, from the blister-packed VGA models to the multi-pixel prosumer setups, will be put on display at Comdex '99 in Las Vegas, NV. These products will include Agfa Corp's CL30 Clik camera and ePhoto Smile; PowerShot digital camera S10 model from Canon; Fuji Photo Film's MX-1200 and MX-1700; Kodak's DC240i in blueberry, grapes, strawberry, tangerine and lime colors; Samurai digital camera from Kyocera; Nikon's mega-pixel Coolpix 800 diogital camera; and products from Olympus, Toshiba and Hewlett Packard.

Digital cameras priced under $300 have been introduced by manufacturers at the 1999 Las Vegas and Sand Expo. Some of these low-priced computer peripheral cameras are the Olympus C-2020 SLR, Agfa CL30 Clik, Canon PowerShot S10 2.1 megapixel and Polaroid PhotoMAX PDC 1100. The UMAX AstraCAM, Ixla SuperPro VGA camera, Largan Lmini 350 and Fuji MX-1700 1.5 megapixel camera were also launched during the event.
